Singapore GP F1 Fantasy Tips: Round 17 Transfers, 3X Boost and Lock Time

6 October 2026

Singapore is the most important F1 Fantasy weekend left in 2026. It is the last Sprint of the season, it is the best remaining race for the 3X Boost, and it locks a day earlier than a normal weekend.

Here is how to approach it.

Set your team before Friday. On a Sprint weekend there is no Saturday morning to tidy things up. Once Sprint Qualifying starts, only Final Fix can change your team.

What happened at Sepang

The Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang was delayed twice by rain before it started and interrupted by two Safety Cars. Max Verstappen won his first race of the season, 2.3 seconds ahead of Kimi Antonelli. Lewis Hamilton recovered from 18th to finish third after a Ferrari tyre gamble went wrong, with Charles Leclerc fourth and Isack Hadjar fifth.

What it means for Singapore:

  • Antonelli extended his lead. He leads George Russell by 84 points with seven races left, and his last four finishes, most recent first, are P2, P5, P1 and P1.
  • Mercedes still lead the constructors' championship comfortably, on 556 points to Ferrari's 405.
  • Sepang was a wet, chaotic race. Verstappen's win came in conditions that favour driver skill over car pace. Singapore is a different kind of race, where qualifying position decides most of the result.

Why Singapore is different

Marina Bay is a slow, bumpy street circuit lined with walls. Overtaking is rare, so starting position is close to finishing position. A driver who qualifies on the front row usually finishes at the front. A driver who qualifies eighth usually finishes around eighth.

That changes how you pick:

  • Qualifying pace matters more than race pace. Positions-gained points are hard to come by here.
  • Premium drivers are protected. A cheap driver cannot score heavily by climbing through the field, so the usual value of mid-priced picks shrinks.
  • The race is long and hot. It is one of the longest races of the year, run in heat and humidity. Mistakes and reliability failures happen late, and a Safety Car is common.

Pirelli has brought the three softest compounds in its range. Expect qualifying to be about finding a clean lap on the Soft, and the race to be about managing tyres in the heat.

The 3X Boost: Antonelli

If you still have the 3X Boost, this is the race to use it. Three things line up:

  1. It is a Sprint weekend, with more scoring sessions than a normal race.
  2. Overtaking is low, so a driver who starts at the front tends to stay there.
  3. There are no Sprint weekends left after this, so there is no better race to wait for.

The obvious pick is Kimi Antonelli: championship leader, fastest car for most of the season, and second at Sepang. Put the 3X Boost on him, and move your 2X Boost to your next-best driver, because you cannot put both on the same driver.

If you have already used the 3X Boost, Antonelli is still the default 2X Boost pick.

Transfers at current prices

You get three free transfers and they do not carry over, so use them if they improve your team for this weekend. Current prices from the app:

DriverPriceNote
George Russell$28.0MSecond car in the fastest team
Max Verstappen$27.9MSepang winner, weaker case at a low-overtake track
Kimi Antonelli$27.0MChampionship leader, the 3X Boost pick
Lewis Hamilton$24.3MThird at Sepang
Charles Leclerc$23.8MStrong over one lap, which matters here
Isack Hadjar$15.7MFifth at Sepang
Arvid Lindblad$9.4MRegular top-ten finisher at a midfield price
Oliver Bearman$5.8MCheapest driver with a points-scoring car

Antonelli is the transfer most teams should make if they do not own him. At $27.0M he is cheaper than Russell and Verstappen, and he is the driver you want to triple.

Leclerc suits Singapore. Qualifying decides this race, and one-lap pace has long been his strength. At $23.8M he is a cheaper route to a likely front-two-rows starter than the $27M+ drivers.

Be careful with Verstappen this week. He won Sepang in the wet. Singapore is a dry, low-overtaking street circuit, and if he does not qualify at the front, he has little chance to recover.

Avoid the $3M drivers. Pérez, Bottas and Lance Stroll are all on the price floor, and Bottas and Stroll have negative season totals. A crash or retirement in a long, hot race costs you 20 points.

Check your budget after selling. Every move has to fit your cost cap.

The other chips

  • Final Fix: if you are not playing the 3X Boost, Singapore is the best remaining weekend for Final Fix. If your Boost driver qualifies outside the top three, you can swap them for a driver starting at the front. On a Sprint weekend you can also use it between the Sprint and Qualifying.
  • No Negative: a reasonable choice if you have it and do not have the 3X Boost. Long, hot street races with walls produce retirements, and there are three scoring sessions this weekend.
  • Limitless: avoid it. Sprint weekends add incidents and unpredictability that undo the value of a perfect lineup.
  • Wildcard: only if you need four or more changes.

You can only use one chip per race.

Frequently asked questions

When do F1 Fantasy teams lock for the Singapore GP? At the start of Sprint Qualifying on Friday, because Singapore is a Sprint weekend. Check the app for the exact time in your time zone. After the lock, only Final Fix can change your team.

Should I use the 3X Boost at Singapore? Yes, if you still have it. Singapore is the last Sprint weekend of 2026 and a low-overtaking circuit, which gives the chip the most to multiply. Antonelli is the obvious pick.

Who should I Boost at Singapore? Kimi Antonelli. He leads the championship by 84 points and drives the fastest car for most of the season. If he has your 3X Boost, move the 2X Boost to your next-best driver.

Is Verstappen a good pick after winning at Sepang? Less so at Singapore. His Sepang win came in a wet, chaotic race on a high-overtaking circuit. Singapore is a dry, low-overtaking street track where the qualifying order usually decides the result.

Which tyres has Pirelli chosen for Singapore? The three softest compounds: the C3 as the Hard, the C4 as the Medium and the C5 as the Soft.
